Mainframe IMS Specialist (IMS DB/DC Administrator & Support Engineer)

We are looking for a Mainframe IMS Specialist to support and maintain IBM IMS environments running on IBM z/OS. In this role, you will work on the administration, support, optimization, and ongoing improvement of business-critical Mainframe systems while collaborating with global teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain IMS DB and IMS TM/DC environments. Assist with installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Monitor system performance and help identify optimization opportunities. Troubleshoot incidents and contribute to problem resolution. Participate in change implementations and system enhancements. Support automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Contribute to backup, recovery, and availability processes.

Skills & Experience

We are interested in professionals with experience in Mainframe environments and exposure to some of the following technologies:

IBM z/OS

IMS DB and/or IMS TM/DC

JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF

DBRC, VSAM

REXX or other scripting tools

Mainframe monitoring and scheduling tools

Performance tuning, backup and recovery concepts

Additional experience with DB2, IBM MQ, COBOL, PL/I, Java, CICS, or automation initiatives would be an advantage.
