What is the Opportunity?

As an Operations Analyst on the Production Services Team, you will be responsible for the monitoring and processing of batch/online applications across the multiple platforms that reside in the Ontario Computer Centre on a 7x24x365 basis using Zeke scheduler. These applications can reside in any one or multiple number of IBM z/OS mainframe environments.. You will be actively involved in handling production problem situations and applying changes to the z/OS application environment.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

Undergraduate degree with IT background ideally with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.

Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

Able to work in a 7x24x365 environment.

Able to work on site.

Able to work on rotating 8hr/12hr shifts and rotating on call schedule.

Able to work weekends and holidays on rotating basis

Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have:

Experience with Job Control Language (JCL) environments and mainframe computing.

Programming/coding experience: COBOL, REXX, Angular, React/Vue.js, VBA (macros), C#, C++, Node.js, Active Directory, Elastic Search, Windows Servers etc.

Postsecondary degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology.

Experience working rotating shifts
