What is needed in this role:

- To succeed as a Mainframe Batch Infrastructure Engineer, you need a strong technical foundation combined with a structured and dependable way of working and Technical skills and experience:

- Solid experience with IBM z/OS in a batch‑processing environment

- Strong knowledge of JCL, batch scheduling, and workload management

- Understanding of mainframe storage, datasets, and file handling

- Familiarity with incident handling, root‑cause analysis, and production support

- Basic scripting skills are an advantage

- A structured approach to troubleshooting and documentation

- Able to work closely with application teams, operations, and infrastructure specialists

- Clear communication skills — able to explain technical issues in simple terms

- Comfortable taking ownership and driving issues to resolution

- A proactive mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
