Job Description

DevOps Migration Engineer – Mainframe Source Code Management is responsible for the design, configuration, administration, and optimization of the AMI DevX Code Pipeline platform, with a strong emphasis on migrating legacy or third-party Source Code Management (SCM) systems (e.g., Endevor, ChangeMan, Librarian) into DevX Code Pipeline.

Experience: 5+ years in mainframe SCM/release management as administrator AND 2+ years in BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (ISPW) strongly preferred

SCM Migration: Proven experience migrating from SCMs like Endevor, Librarian, ChangeMan and others; SCM data models and lifecycle workflows; Code promotion and versioning strategies; Generate and deploy activities

z/OS Fundamentals: JCL, JES2/3, ISPF, REXX; Dataset design (PDS/PDSE, VSAM); Understanding of COBOL/Assembler/PL/I compiler and binder options

Developer Tooling: Git workflow for mainframe; Workbench for Eclipse; AMI DevX Workbench for VS Code - Code Pipeline extensions

Security & Compliance: Code Pipeline rule/object/method configuration; Enterprise security (RACF/ACF2/Top Secret)
