As a Professional Services Engineer (Conversions Programmer), you'll be responsible for supporting financial institution conversions from competing platforms to the FIS Integrated Banking Systems (IBS) Deposit, Customer Information, Currency Transaction Reporting and Safe Deposit solutions. You'll work closely with implementation business analysts and the client to understand conversion requirements and translate those requirements into specialized conversion programs. Analyze conversion data files; analyze and translate business requirements into specialized conversion programs; code, test and debug highly customized conversion programs.
A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience. Knowledge of structured COBOL programming techniques with general understanding of IMS and/or DB2 DBMS. Strong understanding of working with sequential data files, including packed numeric, binary, EBCDIC, ASCII and FTP. Knowledge of IBM z/OS operating environment, including JCL, TSO, ISPF, VSAM, SYNCSORT, Expediter, Insync and VISION:Results (DYL280). Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills.
