Software Developer COBOL (m/f/d)

Bereich IT-Informationstechnology. Als Teil der IT (über 500 Kolleg*innen aus rund 40 Nationen) analysieren und erweitern Sie bestehende Softwaresysteme und Applikationen in einem heterogenen, komplexen IT-Systemumfeld basierend auf einer IBM-Mainframe-Architektur. Aufgaben (verbatim, Ausschreibung in Englisch): 'Analyzing and extending existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on an IBM mainframe architecture'; 'Extending and optimising existing systems and applications using DB2, IMS and CICS'; 'Software development with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software'; 'Creating and maintaining complex SQL queries for data retrieval'; 'Setting up automated batch processes within frameworks such as TWS / OPC'; 'IT project management and stakeholder management'; 'Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed systems and applications'.

Completed studies in practical / applied computer science or training as an IT specialist Experience in the mainframe environment with COBOL and in the conception of software as well as tuning options with practice in database modeling Practical experience with complex SQL queries as well as database performance analyses and their optimization Confident handling of database management systems, preferably DB2 and the associated database languages and tools Knowledge of the structures in TWS / OPC for setting up automated batch processes Practical experience in IT project management, e.g. process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication Good English language skills, knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
