Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2/IMS, VSAM, and CICS
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including business analysis, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement
Hands-on experience with tools such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow, JMeter/Pasta/Blazemeter, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, MVC, and Spring Cloud
Experience working with Unix Shell Scripts, API Gateways, Apache Kafka, Cassandra, and NoSQL databases.
Proficient in Core Java, Spring frameworks, REST API development, Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, AngularJS, Bootstrap, React, and other modern web technologies.
Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Proven ability to apply agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM, to achieve quick turnaround and efficient delivery
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
