Software Development Engineering Advisor I About your role: At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What you'll do:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Manage application hosting on Windows Servers and scripting for Oracle DB.
Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements & Skills
Experience you'll need to have:
6+ years of experience in software development
3+ years of experience in Experian PowerCurve Strategy Design Studio
3+ years of experience in Oracle databases 3+ years of experience in hosting applications on Windows servers 3+ years of experience in COBOL programming language
3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience in the financial services industry
