Easytrieve step RC 16 but SYSOUT looks almost fine

EZT step ends CC 0016. Report printed. Output file has all but the last record. SYSOUT has A010 then A014.

Ops keeps asking if RC 16 is "retryable." How do you explain this to non-programmers?

RC 16 from Easytrieve means the program hit an execution error. Partial output does not mean success. Fix the A010 logic, then rerun. Not a transient infrastructure blip.

I paste the A010 line into the ticket so nobody "retries" overnight jobs blindly.

We taught the help desk: if you see A014, scroll up. Never reopen on RC 16 without a programmer look.
