People say "your HLQ is TRAIN01" when talking about dataset names. What does HLQ stand for?
People say "your HLQ is TRAIN01" when talking about dataset names. What does HLQ stand for?
High Level Qualifier. First part of the dataset name. TRAIN01.COBOL.SOURCE → HLQ is TRAIN01.
Security and catalog rules often key off HLQ. You usually only write under your own.
