RECEIVE order for a big FIXCAT bundle - any war stories?

Weekend maintenance. Big FIXCAT receive. Last time APPLY CHECK exploded because we received things out of dependency order.

Do you RECEIVE everything then let APPLY sort it, or do you stage SYSMODs deliberately?

We RECEIVE the vendor order as shipped, then REPORT MISSINGFIX / APPLY CHECK before any APPLY. Reorder only when CHECK proves a hole. Fighting the vendor sequence up front usually makes it worse.

Document the CHECK output in the change record. Future you will thank present you.
