CICS/DB2 SQLCODE -923 - what did I forget to define?

Program, map, and transaction are installed. Hit Enter to hit DB2 and get SQLCODE -923 / SQLSTATE 57015.

Been away from mainframe a while. Is this a DB2CONN / DB2ENTRY thing, or is DB2 itself down?

Read the reason code hanging off the -923. Common ones: DB2 not up, CICS-DB2 attachment not up, ENTRY disabled.

If you never did CEDA DEFINE for DB2CONN and DB2ENTRY (and maybe DB2TRAN), CICS has no idea which DB2 subsystem to talk to. Install those, then retry.

Missing DB2CONN. Defined and installed it. SQL runs now.
